On the fence....

Another three dozen blackberries picked this afternoon, plenty more to come from in front of the fence, in the back garden..... It's cooler today thankfully, and I've done a bit of well overdue tidying up indoors. I think I heard a cuckoo today, very loud and persistent, but I didn't have my Merlin app handy to identify it.  I'm having some cold gammon for dinner from last week's roast, so no cooking today. Had a quick catch-up with G, who is now back in HCM, waiting for Ben to return...and started a new book, which I was immediately drawn into 'The Crooked Branch ' Jeanine Cummins.
