Echium vulgare

This is Viper´s bugloss, botanically Echium vulgare. There´s another wildflower in this area also called Viper´s bugloss, which is botanically Echium pininana.  Vulgare reaches approximately to my knee, pininana towers over me - I´m going to guess it´s about 12 feet tall. Intended for Wildflower week.
