Today's the day ....................... to much prefer 

We've had a cooler day here today, with even a few drops of rain this afternoon.  It's just as well really, because one day like yesterday was enough to knock us for six - and when very little was achieved.  It was much nicer out there today. 

The above are some of the lacecap hydrangea flowers on a bush in the garden that is doing well this year.  It's actually a bit of a treat for us to have a blue hydrangea at all.  Before we moved here, our soil was alkaline and our hydrangeas were pink.  

And, I have to say, that I much prefer this almost luminous shade of blue .................
