From time to time I read (and listen) to children's book in Gaelic. It is a good way to help develop a range of skills (and the pictures help in determining the meaning).  Some of the grammar can be surprisingly tricky (well at least to me) and this afternoon I spent ages deconstructing one sentence "An Croitear" trying to figure out how its literal translations lead to the actual meaning.  You will be pleased to hear (spoiler alert) that the duck with the help of the other animals got the better of the lazy crofter.  

We headed over to Fife today for lunch with my Dad and his wife. It was lovely to see them and catch up properly with all their news. We visited one kitchen supplier on the way there and another on the way back. We now have a better understanding of how what we would like matches with what is available. Next stage is to get more detailed costings.
