The 9.00pm ferry

I spent much of the day preparing and packing the motorhome ready to leave home on Monday morning for our second four-week holiday of the year. This time the emphasis will be on fishing as Nick hasn’t done a lot recently. He is really looking forward to the trip but hoping for a bit more rain as all the river levels are low which means that there probably won’t be many fish around. It was another hot day but we ended up with a beautiful evening. I had arranged to meet friends C and T from the 9.00pm ferry as they were returning home from a wedding. I really enjoyed the drive down to Craignure with the windows wide open to give me a bit of a breeze and cool me down. C and T had met their neighbour on the train from Glasgow so of course he joined us for the final part of the journey home.
