First love

I have finished my second dress, and am so happy with it. During the process I’ve learned a lot, which hopefully I will remember for future garments (although there’s no guarantee!) and now I am looking forward to doing more dressmaking in future. Sewing was always my first love, before papercrafts, but life got in the way a bit lately and there never seemed to be enough time.

It’s been a little less warm today, about 28° at the hottest point, but when I was out in the garden this morning just after 6.00 am it was a very pleasant 15°, with a gentle breeze. Everywhere is looking brown and thirsty, and the lawn crunches underfoot, but my courgette plants are growing like triffids! Not long now before we will be able to start harvesting them.
