Earlier, I met Chris for a jaunt on our bikes around Gifford’s farm and forest tracks. Great fun.

Then brunch with Nancy and Owen in the hut, before he headed back to stifling Edinburgh.

We hung about for a while and then returned home to assemble new shelves and pick soft fruit.
