Overheated dahlia

Obviously my watering attempts in this hot weather are not proving particularly successful. There are still some plants alive but they desperately mean some rain. Also there only appears to be one of the eight moorhens around so we are very worried about them. It was so hot in church this morning, I decided not to wear my robes. I still dripped my way through the service and forgot half of what I was supposed to say when reading the bans..
