Heddon’s Mouth
Went to a great little church in the town this morning. Nice to see a couple who we used to know in North London. Their daughter Jensky sometimes blips here :)
After lunch we got in the car and pootled on down the coast in search of Heddon’s Mouth.
Drove down some narrow single track lanes to a National Trust car park and tea room.
Set off on foot along a woodland path for a mile till we came to Heddon’s Mouth - a little secluded bay unreachable unless on foot or boat. Shingle beach with lovely stones.
Sat for a while and enjoyed the bay before heading back along the path.
It was so lovely in the woods - cool shade!
The NT tearoom was still open so we got some cold cans and sat in the shade to cool down.
Back to ilfracombe for a pizza dinner and yummy ice creams.
