That's what they do, they grow on you!
Sunday this morning so church as usual. I was serving and on chalice duty so busy, we had a good sing though! I was very impressed with our celebrant today who always peaches without notes. He's spent a lot of his life post ordination in universities so knows his stuff well. In common with most today, the gospel theme was the Good Samaritan. In these troubled days, a story some of our world leaders would do well to consider .
This afternoon we were invited to a member of our congregation's new house. He is n his 80s and almost 20 years older than his wife a they wanted to move to a single level house which would be easier for her to look after on her own.
When I got back I put the blackcurrants on to simmer and they are now dripping over night in the kitchen.
My blip today is of the roses in the front garden. I didn't prune them at all last year, so they are very straggly but the flowers and the scents are beautiful. I've planted them all over the last 30 years. The yellow was a gift form the Office team on my Campus when I retired in 2014.
