I wonder WHY?

       One of their favourite pastimes seems to be getting as high as possible up the Buddleja alternifolia as they can. 
       Now. I'll grant you mollusc damage isn't obvious up the tree - BUT - I saw no evidence of any damage to the flower it was perched on.
