Mowry Beach, Lubec, Maine

We had a walk on Mowry Beach this afternoon. The weather was cool with light fog, but perfect for our walk. The tide was going out, but the Lubec channel lighthouse, the Spark Plug was still in plenty of water and the clammers were waiting for the tide to be fully out so they could rake for clams.

Lubec Channel Light is a spark plug lighthouse in Lubec, Maine. Established in 1890, it is one of three surviving spark plug lights in the state, and served as an important aid to navigation on the route from the Bay of Fundy to Eastport, Maine and the St. Croix River It is set in shallow waters in the Lubec Channel, about 500 feet (150 m) from the Canada–United States border. The lighthouse was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Lubec Channel Light Station on March 14, 1988.

For the Record,
This day came in overcast and cool with fog.

All hands happy .
