It Was Forty Years Ago Today ...

I remember it well.  

It felt as hot as it was today but probably wasn't quite that hot.  My sister and I put the telly in the garden with a sheet rigged up for shade.  We watched it until early evening then set off for dinner in Maidstone with my bf.   We'd set the video (ha ha ha) and watched the rest when we got back.  

I remember the feeling of excitement and knowing that we'd never experienced anything like it before.  

I've enjoyed all of the documentaries on it in the last few days.  It's certainly stirred a lot of memories.
