Kite Festival
I decided that the Mural Festival could wait, the murals will still be there next weekend. After brunch I went to the Kite Festival and was lucky enough to find parking close by. The weather cooperated, and lots of people were out testing their kite flying skills. There were 5 of these huge kites, and it takes skill to get them off the ground. When they do get up, they spin around.
I came home for just over an hour after the kite festival before heading back to Bedford for the potluck picnic. About 40 people showed up. A mix of old and new members. Most of us tend to talk to the people that joined around the same time. One of my former brunch group members was there today and she asked me how many people I could name. At that point there was only about a dozen people there and there were only 2 that I could not name. Later there was 8 - 10 people that I could not name. I am proud of myself, because I have a hard time remembering names.
I found out tonight that my niece, nephew, grand niece and family will be here for a week starting July 24. I hope to get together with them for a few hours. My sister from NB is planning to come down for a few days and will likely stay in Oxford. I hope to get away for a couple of days with her while she is here.
The forecast is for a hot and humid week. We will likely start a half hour earlier in the mornings and finish earlier.
