Living my dream

Pittosporum seeds

One of the pittosporum trees which I cut back hard at the end of summer has produced a prodigious number of seed heads, presumably in response to the 'heavy grazing' that I simulated with my secateurs.

They will soon fall, and I anticipate a forest of seedlings beneath what is now a bush in a few months' time. I shall pot them up once they are a few centimetres tall and grow them on in my nursery area, so that I can plant them elsewhere in due course.

And so the cycle of life continues...

The sun has been out today and the thermometer reached the teens for the first time in a while. 13C is the magic temperature at which I find that it is comfortable to leave doors and windows open: my happy time.

It made up for the post-Wimbledon blues which struck me after I had finished watching the men's final. Thank goodness there is the Tour de France for another couple of weeks...

Thank you for all the lovely comments about my bed-dog yesterday.
