Day 1 Cycling in Bavaria

An early flight with Easyjet from Gatwick to Munich, and then figuring out how to get to our hotel, using the S-Bahn and U-bahn. Our information said a taxi took 45 minutes. As we had all day we used the trains, and found information that our hotel was one stop away from the main station, but it was four stops away. We eventually found it, checked in and explored the Marienplatz area. Being Sunday, the shops were closed but there were plenty of outdoor cafes, lovely old buildings to look. Also street entertainers who spoke in English, and a quartet playing odd music, the cellist only using his instrument as a drum.
