Blackthorn Sloes

Much cooler today - and overcast. Even a few drops of strange wet stuff falling from the sky while I was out.

Spotted these berries in the hedgerow - love the colour of them. Soon they will turn dark blue and then almost black. Then I guess the gin connoisseurs will be along to harvest them :-)

The bonfire from yesterday’s blip was still smoking this morning as I walked past - fortunately the wind has changed direction and it is no longer blowing towards our house.
