The red light
Scorching hot again!
After a slow start to the day, MrM set off for the Dales to do some fishing, before playing at a ceilidh in Bolton Castle this evening.
I mostly pottered around in the shade indoors and managed to tick of alot of the items on my 'to do' list, and also fetched a couple of essentials from the local shop. Late afternoon, when the temperature had dropped a little, I did some gardening - mostly deadheading and weeding - before watering the roses and some of the other plants in containers. Quite an arduous task with the watering can!
Later, with the knowledge that MrM wouldn't be back until the early hours, I watched all three episodes of 'Live Aid at 40'. Had forgotten just how emotional it was...
At the same time, through the living room window I watched the sun going down. As dusk approached the red light came on at the top of the tower on Castle Hill, way across the valley. You can just about spot the light in the Blip.
