Black Darter
I cycled to Houton and caught the ferry to Lyness on Hoy. Then cycled up to the pools on the moorland of Wee Fea. They're artificial in as much as the moor road bank is what has allowed the water to gather. Lots of the above dragonfly as well as loads of common blue and large red damselflies and a few common hawker dragonflies. Beautifully sunny but still breezy which led to a lot of rejected images. We don't get a lot of dragon- or damselflies in Orkney compared to southern areas.
