Plants for the Fete

A call was put out for surplus plants for the village fete plant stall so I took a tray of last year’s cuttings that had survived & grown enough to look decent.
In the (air conditioned) church the flower arranging group had put together twelve arrangements depicting song titles, they were beautifully done & lots of us spent some time trying to work them out & win the competition, apparently the winners guessed 10 out of 12.
It was nice to see some familiar faces, I came home with home grown produce, cakes & some books on dressage for daughter K.
Watched the Wimbledon men’s final, I think we all thought Alcaraz had it in the bag but Sinner played a very good match to win the championship.
