Lüneburger Heide

A leisurely departure to the south this morning with a 2h stopover in Hamburg. A very arge park and beaches on the banks of the Elbe (Eichbaumsee) where the dogs can run around off the lead and we can enjoy the park with lots of water, old trees, large grassy areas and benches in the shade. As the motorway around Hamburg is already jammed in the morning, the satnav takes us right through the city centre, St. Pauli and the harbour.

We reach the Lüneburger Heide (Oberhaverbeck) in the early afternoon. A beautiful estate awaited us. So we now enjoy another 2 nights and take long walks in a truly unique landscape. Also the estate demonstrates German hospitality at its best.
