DO YOU KNOW THE WAYS OF AMARYLLIS?

I'd put my apparently dormant New Year amaryllis into the garage a few weeks ago along with other dormant bulbs to keep them safe while work was being done to the back garden, but when I looked the weekend before last it had thrown up a pale stem with a small bud at the tip, looking for the light. I moved it outside into the sunshine and it's shot up and done this, with more flowers to come. As you can see it's enjoying the rain today as are the rest of the plants.
