Angel’s Wings …

… just after midnight but the moon was not rising above the horizon! I’m not often up this late but we had had a delightful evening of good company last night (with no accidents in the kitchen despite being distracted by the Men’s Wimbledon Final). It’s so lovely to still have contact with ex-pupils especially those whose parents we still know well. 

When the rain stopped this morning, I went up to check on the eagles’ nest and saw nothing like last week. However I did not stay long enough. Having gone higher I looked back and saw something black in the nest (extra) ran back down again but by the time I was close enough to take another photo, it was gone. Very frustrating! Do you think it is an eagle?
