The art restorer's dog
This is Alfie, the art restorer's whippet. I met him when I went round to the art restorer's flat to see if he (the art restorer, not the dog) can touch up a slightly battered Victorian oil painting of Hexham before we send it for reframing. I love the way that the dog's coat matches the frame above him.
I barely slept at all last night so I cancelled any thoughts of a long swim this morning. I was proud, however, to manage an hour on the exercise bike.
The rest of the day I have been busy at my desk. Amongst other tasks, I wrote a blog post, and then contacted Mummy hazelh's remaining friends and family members to let them know her change of address. I sent most of the messages electronically to save on hand-writing and postage. One of the disadvantages of this, however, is that many people have replied by return hoping for the backstory to the move and asking for other family news, thus generating more Mummy hazelh admin...
After posting my blip, I'm going to beat Mr hazelh at Carcassonne (ha ha ha!)
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike.
