Flowers

One of the few things flowering at the moment are these rudbeckia. And even they are looking a bit droopy.
It’s been cooler  today so this evening I did about an hours weeding in the garden. It’s a bit easier now a lot of the things are actually dead. There are even dead weeds!  And plants I bought earlier in the summer  which have never even put out  any roots to speak of. The hollyhocks were magnificent last year, but this year under the plants are big piles of dead flowers which have fallen off the stems without even opening properly.
We are promised rain tomorrow.
