The Full Portillo

When the forecast is mixed and you want to enjoy the lake district its time to go 'The Full Portillo'.

Regular train from Cark via Bowness to Ravenglass, then the 15" narrow gauge railway up Eskdale to Dalegarth near Boot.

A trip round Eskdale Mill, with its 3 waterwheels making the most of last nights rain, and lunch in the pub.

Return lap from and in under 2 hours we've done the whole trip again, wonderful scenery, estruaries and views.

Dog loved it.
