Geese Having a Gander

... at Monsaraz on the other side of the Lake. Went off at the end of the day to the causeway that we frequently drive over, with the intention of parking the car and trying to photograph the birds that are always there. Got the heron in extra on one of the many huge rocks that emerge from the water, but neither the water nor the light were as spectacular as they can be. 

The geese were on Mourão's old beach, interesting to see it with the water higher than we've seen before.

Gratefuls:
- Mike having the patience to go into town yet again with documents about our building project, will still take ages to correct their mistake, apparently
- a good chat with my eldest while she hung clothes on the line
- booking two nights away for the worst of the heat this week, and to celebrate our anniversary
