Day 2

it looks as if I'm going to be here at least a couple more days. I met with the physical therapist today and we practiced my moving around in the bed and trying to get off it relying only on my right leg. we got as far as my sitting on the side of the bed and trying to lift myself to a standing position. she'll be back tomorrow so we'll try to make some more progress. I'll be having dialysis here tomorrow.

this is a photo of my ice pack, a big plastic bag full of ice, held inside a pillow case. I do 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. it has helped the swelling somewhat.
