3887. Heart monitor!

I really am running out of things to photograph!  

After yesterday’s nonsense about me not getting my MRI, I am getting it at lunchtime today.  It occurred to me that had I not got upset yesterday I doubt much would have changed.  One of the nurses mentioned that it was to do with charging and despite me pointing out that UK residents didn’t actually pay for NHS care, she wasn’t convinced that they weren’t trying to bill me for my MRI and make me claim it back from NHS Scotland.  I must do something about this once I feel better as it really is stressful to have care withheld because of a silly admin issue.  I also must carry my passport with me whenever we travel here again as I never want to go through this sort of debacle again.

It’s such a shame because the staff here have been fabulous and so caring, I’m disappointed in the system that’s spoiled it to be honest.  As someone who worked in the NHS both here and in Scotland for 36 years, this is not my NHS, or at least this part of it.

I’m pretty anxious about my MRI and what they might find…..
