Leek Museum

Closed until next year, apparently. We’d both got the day off and decided - for whatever, mad reason - to pay a visit to our hometown - something we’ve not done for ages since we no longer have any elderly relatives to visit. Anyway, it was all good: Derby Street’s preachers were in full effect, despite having to battle against a pro-LGBTQ protest against their presence, a heavily-amplified busker and a selection of old biddies perusing the market stalls for smalls. So, we enjoyed that chaos, visited the Church and Cemetery, went to the good cafe and generally wandered around saying things like, “Oh, yes and that used to be…!” We hardly missed the Museum at all…
