John played his final gig this afternoon. At the age of 80 he has decided to hang up his guitars. I have been fortunate to have enjoyed  hearing John play in bands since the 70s with Ryan Express, until now with Nightfly. In the 90s his band Isis played at our wedding (extra). He is not only a superb musician but also an absolute gentleman.

The keyboard player Davie is also retiring from the band so it will be interesting to see who joins Lindsay and Sandro in the new lineup. They will have very big shoes to fill.
