Tiny Tuesday 529 :: TT529 :: Frozen in Time

I think many are celebrating the arrival of the rain and cooler weather but not all.

My Eryngium is no longer a hive of activity but a harbour of dead or dormant bees and wasps.

Some have just exhausted themselves but I think many, like this one has shutdown because of the rain and big drop in temperature.

I know this happens to bees, they work themselves to death or take a nap but there are also a number of wasps which is new to me. They all look as if they have suddenly fallen asleep mid collection.
