Loads of apples……..

……..on the tree this year.
I planted it over twenty years ago.Its apples are crisp and sweet.
We have had quite a bit of rain here earlier on.
It has now stopped and the grey clouds are fairly scudding across the sky along with a much cooler stiff breeze.
Thankyou to everyone who commented on our 52nd Wedding Anniversary yesterday!
We had a full morning with the two oldest grandchildren here, and then went off out to our favourite pub for a late lunch after we took them home again. I did a bit of tidying up in the garden. The roses have more or less finished their first blooms and I was deadheading them. It will take a little time now till their second flowering period.
The magnificent Cardoon has loads of thistle like flower heads about to change colour. I will take a photo of it when that happens.
I did a bit of strimming up in the “wild patch” and sprayed some Pathclear on the weeds which had regrown up through some of the bricks in our drive.
It wasn’t weather conducive for a longer walk today, so I spent part of the morning doing the exercises I had at the Hip class after my last op.
Our friend is coming for her tea shortly after she finishes work, so I will stop here.
