Beautiful in white

Another warm day ..... lots of butterflies in the garden again.

This Large White female kindly posed long enough for me to get this photo .... I thought she looked beautiful :-)

Not many here today (Tuesday) as it has rained quite hard for most of the day ..... typical as it is the 15th & St Swithin's Day!

The old poem goes like this ~

"St Swithin's Day, if it does rain
Full forty days, it will remain
St Swithin's Day, if it be fair
For forty days, t'will rain nae mair (no more)"

Hopefully this will not come true this year though the rain is most welcome for the gardens & for the farmer's crops.
