Kirkleatham

A quick stop at Kirkleatham walled garden for a late lunch, however they were so slow at serving I got my money back and we came home and had some crumpets instead.

Unfortunately this is par for the course there which is such a shame as it is a really lovely place for a walk round (and a blip).

Anyway, these hydrangeas were outside the front door and as it was raining we didn’t walk round the gardens either.

We’d been out on a route run into an area of Middlesbrough (Park End) where Callum has to pick up his passenger next week on a trip out with the alpine garden society chaps. They are going to a place called Breezy Knees - a beautiful modern garden created on the grandest possible scale - according to something Monty Don said once.

It’s been on and off raining all afternoon, so no garden bits done unfortunately. I did pop round to Debbie and had my instructions. She’s away from Thursday for two weeks and I’m in charge of watering the garden. If today is anything to go by I won’t have much to do!!
