Podding

Of course, today being St Swithun’s Day, it began with torrential rain…

I did find a gap in the rain this morning to go on a walk, and later on it was dry enough to pick some raspberries and broad beans. D had the job of podding them all and I have made a risotto for tea.

(My very first blip, in March 2012, was of some broad beans which I was about to plant. They are the one vegetable which grows reliably in our garden every year)
