Not my words….just the way the people of Longyearbyen welcome us.

It’s rugged. It’s harsh. And unbelievably beautiful.

We weren’t joining Fram until 5.00 so we had a fascinating tour of the area around Longyearbyen. We met their dog teams. We saw the vegetation (extras). We visited their museum…..

It’s beautiful. It’s fragile, and in this crazy new world, it’s politically volatile. Think mining, rare minerals, nearby Russians. Etc etc……
