Bin Find No 7, 534
Two chaps were ahead of us this morning, and were examining this wee desk. No! leave it... They wandered on and we examined it. Someone will like it.
I popped up to the surgery this morning for my yearly health check/blood test. I checked in at the desk, as per usual, and went and sat in the waiting room, along with two other people. Gone are the days when the waiting room was full of a morning... The two others went to their appointments. Another person came and went to their appointment. After 20 minutes, I went back to the desk to ask if I'd been forgotten about. She said, 'She's been looking for you. But you haven't checked in!' I politely begged to differ, and recited the exact conversation. The nurse then came rushing in.
Bloomin' seagulls!!! There is a scourge in Marchmont, and indeed, everywhere. The very large babies are now beginning to find their feet, or wings. But they seem to prefer just walking about on our streets and pavements, causing their parents to screech around, attacking any person within 100 yards of their young 'uns. Last night Archie and I were attacked all the way along the road, though we didn't see any chicks nearby. I saw one chick doddling in the middle of road, and a car slowed down and waited for it to move aside, then zoomed off up the road, followed by two squawking, raging seagulls dive bombing the car. I presume the driver didn't see them. They are SO NOISY. And I won't even mention the mess on the cars, which is possibly the worst thing!!
Another session in the wardrobe department this morning. Sorting through stuff. I can honestly say I need never buy another item of clothing for the rest of my life! I've found loads of stuff stashed away because they were too tight. But now I've lost some weight, they fit.
A walk round the Links for Arch and I, while JR waited in for a delivery from Pets at Home - new pills to try for Archie's sore/not sore leg. JR then went downtown for various items, including to deposit the coffee pods.
I started a book I last started ages ago, on Kindle, on my phone. And I was quite enjoying it until I fell asleep for the entire afternoon. Why?
The suitcases are down!
