A day out? Let’s go to Farm Boy

Quite a late night, last night, by our standards, so felt a little dazed this morning. All of us up later than usual. Mrs. Ottawacker and the boy went out on one of their epic bus rides, while I got down to some translation again. I had high hopes that it would go better than yesterday’s efforts – but it started off in much the same vein. I am translating a council meeting and dealing with financial terms. This means looking up every second word to make sure that the term I would use is the term they actually do  use. Often it isn’t. This need for self-identification is insane. Anyway, once I manage to update my own lexicon, it went smoothly enough. Until I discovered that the Auto-Save I am forced to use on this new version of Microsoft had somehow switched itself off.

Afternoon, and again in the searing heat. We decided on a trip to the Farm Boy at Trainyards, as it was too hot. We are again in the middle of an extreme heat event, so decided against other more wide-ranging outings. We know how to live.
Ottawacker Jr. complaining of pain in his arm. While he was in the pool last night with Lucas and other friends, he was roughhousing more than he should have been (I think they were playing water polo) and probably took a knock on it. We iced it – and then he decided he wanted to wear his brace. So, as we wandered around Farm Boy, there was the sight of a young person being continually stopped by old women to be asked if he was alright. Sometimes, it’s like living with Eoin McLove. He's perfectly fine, before you ask.

Home, dinner, and a quick collapse in front of Dr. Who.
