We went to see how these gardens were faring with the lack of rain. We were greeted by a notice from the Head Gardener warning all visitors that the garden was “crispy”. They had tried their best but the drought has taken its toll. On our way home later in the afternoon it finally rained! Sadly not for long though. With today being St Swithun’s, however, we might be in for some more over the next 40 days?! Hosepipe bans are more likely.
