Captain Bb!

Little did I know when I woke up that I would be at the helm of a motor launch on the Nile, heading toward Alexandria! All Ayman’s doing, and Dd went along with it in good spirits notwithstanding that she is not the most confident on strange waters without a life jacket!

Earlier in the day we visited the sumptuous Mohammed Ali Palace, wondering just what life would have been like in such sumptuousness without TV or AC!

Later we had a walk in Zamalek, with a wonderful Rooftop beer overlooking the Nile.

Dinner at Café Riche, Downtown with L, catching up with her life story, which had not been without its sadnesses this last year with the loss of her dearest soulmate. She is such a magnificent, outgoing person that it is easy to underestimate the depth of her loss.

An unexpected but good day, overall!
