Emergency Elephant

After a showery wet day, and no photo opportunities, I resorted to snapping our elephant table. 

It was brought from India over 100 years ago by one of my Nana's brothers, Jim I think. It is rosewood that has been ebonised to make it look like the more expensive wood.  The intricate engravings are all over the top of the  table as well, and have always filled with dust and oher debris. I decided to get a piece of glass cut to cover it.

We have quite a lot of elephants in our house when I think about it, but this is the most special and spectacular.
