Scarlet Tiger

This morning I noticed some interesting insects in our garden. First, a Small Tortoiseshell butterfly in excellent condition, which was busily nectaring. It was the first Tortoiseshell I have seen anywhere for at least two years.
Then, a beautiful Thick thighed flower beetle on a rose, and finally this Scarlet Tiger moth resting on Iris leaves by our pond. I have no idea where it came from but I was delighted to see it there.
