Living my dream

Beans

One of the sudden flurry of jobs which need doing is to pod all the dried beans.

A few of them will be seed for sowing in spring, the remainder will go into airtight containers in the pantry for the casseroles, soups and salads of the future.

White and black butter beans on the left (one has fallen out already). Muriel's Magic in the middle. Scarlet runners on the right.

I checked my garden diary entries from the last four years and discovered that this week I did not only this task, but also I pruned the raspberries, the gooseberries, the redcurrants, and I lifted all the remaining potatoes.

So it looks likely to be a busy few days...

Thank you so much for the amazing comments, stars and hearts for my Blip milestone yesterday. I will reply to everybody in the next few days.
