Cairo, Day 7, Wednesday
Now in the airport about to board, after a fairly early start.
We got here early to sort out our lamp check in and just as well we did because our creative packing of it wasn’t acceptable. ‘No way’ was signed to us in as many different ways as people could drum up! We thought we’d have to try and get it cut in half in the airport or leave it behind. Luckily, someone senior arrived on the scene and said we could check it in if we opened it all up and then got it wrapped with the bubble wrap machine in the airport. We were very grateful to the young airport worker and were more than happy to hand over some dollars for his help. See extra for our lamp, newly packaged. Fingers crossed! The other pics were on the hotel verandah and on the ride to the airport with Ayman.
It’s been a good week of reconnecting with the place and the people. Masalama, Cairo. Until next time.
