Yes, it's pizza night
Unusually, this is not the Madison. It was a balmy evening, so a few people turned out for pizza night at the bar. We were in the anglophone corner for a while, but then split to talk to B and J-C about houses again. Earlier we'd had a visit from Kristell of the second company on our shortlist, which now consists of two. She'd improved on her previous design, which unsurprisingly is now similar to number one company's, and costs about the same too. So the choice might come down to vibes. I'm afraid Bossy Lady is gone -- she kept producing designs for houses that were bigger than we want, and wasn't listening to what we said.
We had a quite boring Bastille Day -- after the huge fire, the préfet banned all of the fireworks in the Aude except for Carcassonne. Understandable. Of course then there was a massive downpour in most of the département which thoroughly soaked everything. If it hadn't been banned, we'd have gone to the show in Fabrezan, which is always good, but instead we had a quiet evening at home. I think drone shows are the way to go -- a couple of towns had done that.
