A day off and a visit with a friend from Edinburgh. We went to the British Museum to see Hiroshige: artist of the open road and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It certainly re-kindled my love of Japan.

I was eyeing up these totem poles in the photo and wondering when they will be returned to Canada. There’s precedent now of a pole rematriated to a matrilineal First Nation in Canada!
