This is Combourg...

We had an afternoon in Combourg today. We ended up next to the lake (lac tranquille) in front of the château.

We heard Reed Buntings (thanks merlin app) and saw and heard 4 Great Crested Grebes. They were in amongst the lily pads. This is the first time I've ever seen more than one grebe and heard them too. So exciting!

I didn't take my long lens. We will be back tomorrow. The weather forecast looks fairly good.
