leaf of the day

Geranium. Unafflicted by snails but dropping leaves in the absence of rain. There's a hint of Japanese fan in there, which I like, as well as the bold colours. I spent (misspent tbh) a couple of years in a town in Andalucia and geraniums remind me of the patios and balconies there. 
Last day of school reading and I was presented with a card and gift and the class gave me three cheers. It was very lovely. Even better, I was asked if I'd like to read with the same kids next year. Yes, yes yes.
