Green-veined White

A walk in Pollok Park this morning.
Holly's lead in my left hand, camera in my right when a white butterfly appeared and very quickly flitted among the ragwort. Eventually it came to rest on the furthest away clump of ragwort.
This was the best of the photos I took. I knew that if I tried to get closer the butterfly it would have taken flight.

I managed to do some gardening in the back this afternoon ..... weeding, pulling out bramble suckers that have appeared from somewhere and cutting back the dead poppy stems.
